Positive Futures

Wallsend Boys Club is leading a multi agency partnership delivering the Project in the Wallsend and Howdon areas of North Tyneside. Former Wallsend Boys Club Member, Peter Beardsley, returned to the borough on Thursday March 29th 2007 to launch the venture.

Club Chairman, Steve Dale, said: "The Club has worked with thousands of youngsters from a wide range of different backgrounds for over 40 years. This is an exciting opportunity for us to specifically help those young people in North Tyneside who need additional encouragement and extra support".

North Tyneside’s Elected Mayor, John Harrison, said: "This is a fantastic Project which demonstrates what can be achieved by working closely with our partners and the community. Wallsend Boys Club already does a fantastic job in encouraging our young people to keep active. This Project will harness that expertise and ensure more of our young people are supported to have a positive future”.
